Summer Music Day Camp Scholarship

An affordable fun summer camp located right here in Batavia, Illinois!

Have you always wanted your child to attend a summer music camp but it was far away, too long, or too much money? The camp is run by district music teachers and will meet at Rotolo Middle School for one entire week of fun and learning. Camp includes large group rehearsals, sectionals, technique classes, fun activities, games, and a concert performance! Students will receive great music that will be distributed on the first day of camp as well as a camp t-shirt.

  • Before applying for a Batavia Music Buffs Encore scholarship, please ensure you have completed camp registration as proof of enrollment is required..

    Encore summer music camp registration itself is offered through the school district and can be found here.

  • Please note that Buffs scholarships operate as reimbursements. Along with your application, you must provide an official receipt indicating your payment (partial or full).

    Supporting documents, such as confirmation of program registration and receipt of tuition payment (partial or full), must be official correspondence from the program. Acceptable documentation may include letters, copies of emails, or account statements.

  • Must be a rising 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th grade music student in BPS101.

    Confirmed proof of enrollment in Encore camp is required.

    Scholarships are not based on financial need; all students are encouraged to apply.

    Families with financial hardship may be eligible for additional resources. If you are in need, please don't hesitate to contact us!

  • Must have at least average academics

    Must show capability for improvement

    Must be an enthusiastic music participant

    Must answer three (3) essay questions on the application (150 words minimum per question). Please put thought into your responses and ensure you meet the word count.

    Students, not parents, must answer the essay questions. The board can tell the difference. Please do not use AI to answer the questions.

    One scholarship will be awarded per person across all Music Buffs Summer Scholarship offerings.

  • In 2024 The Music Buffs awarded multiple $50 scholarships.

    The amounts awarded is subject to change from year to year based on the organizations budget, so this amount is not guaranteed in the future.

  • Applications are closed for 2024.

    The application typically opens early to mid March of any given school year.
